Author’s Note
I had just finished another story.
“Can I read it, daddy?”
“I’m sorry. It’s not suitable.” How many times had I told her that?
“Well, can’t you write something that is suitable?”
I hadn’t thought of that. “Of course, what would you like it to be about?”
“Me.” She was six. “And unicorns.”
Of course.
Well, I took those notes and direction and ended up with a story that, although probably still not quite suitable for a six year old, I kinda liked.
This one is for you, JJ.
